“Take Pride in Liberalism — 75 years of fighting for human rights” - 51st GA of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY)

YMRF delegation attended the 51st General Assembly of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY), which took place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on November 24-27, 2022. The GA gathered more than 100 delegates, representatives of youth liberal organizations from around the globe who had the opportunity to participate in fringe discussions on non-formal education, exploring the state and future of media freedom, strategic communications and others. They visited the International City of Peace and Justice - The Hague, including meetings with Members of Parliament from VVD and D66. Delegates also discussed and voted on resolutions on various topics and accepted new member organizations. During the assembly, GA elected new leadership - Bram Roodhart from JOVD (The Netherlands) was elected as President of the IFLRY. The new Secretary General is Valentine Martin from Belgium, Treasurer - Sam Hudis from USA. The new 4 Vice Presidents elected are Abdallah Abdoh - from Jordan, Rami Hafez - from Lebanon, Aliona Dobryden - from Ukraine and Benjamin Fievet - from France. The event was graced by senior politicians from the Dutch liberal parties VVD and D66 and long-time partners of the IFLRY and MRF.
